Microblading is a type of semi-permanent make up for brows, where each individual hair is drawn by hand (not a machine) using a special tool that contains up to 21 needles. Microblading that is done correctly, looks quite impressive - very realistic and dimensional. Mimicking real hair, it does not look like the brows are drawn on the face in a solid line with a “magic marker”.

Results typically last around 12-24 months, depending on the skin-type, lifestyle, as well as the skill and knowledge of skin of the Microblading artist, and quality of tools and pigments used.

The main advantage of Microblading over the traditional machine method are realistic results and expected/predicted longevity. Brows that are done using the traditional machine method, basically last a lifetime - therefore incompetent artist work, face shape/structural changes due to aging, weight loss/gain and such will work against a permanent solution to brows.

Microblading on the other hand, can be re-done when it fades, so the changes due to those factors (or even changes in hair color) can be addressed and your brows will be “fit” again to best compliment your individual facial changes.

In addition, process of traditional "machine" brows almost always leads to pigment changes that tend to result in overly dark, blue, purple or red brows, which is almost impossible to remove even with a laser.

Despite popular opinion, Microblading is not a cosmetic procedure, but rather a medical procedure which requires extensive knowledge of the skin as well as solid artistic microblading skill itself. During healing time brows go through multiple changes - from looking dark and "filled in" in first few days, flaking, then pigment lightening and finally pigment "coming to surface" and looking what its going to be as final result.

*Please note, for best results your Microblading artist should be a licensed esthetician
